OKRUG GORNJI
On the southwest side of Čiovo is situated Okrug Gornji, 4 km far from Trogir. Pebble beaches are streched all over and are great for family with little children. For those who are keen on more active vacation there is a scuba diving school, jet-ski and tennis courts. Every day fish piknick to the islands of Solta, Drvenik or the southern side of Chiovo are beeing organized.
Diving, water skiing, rent a scooter, parachute flight, fitness center and tennis courts are available, and there is a wide range of "beach bars" with good music.
Fishing festivals, folk songs, taverns with delicious seafood dishes with local wine and song, as well as discos and live music, are part of a rich night life that offers Okrug Gornji.
Okrug Gornji offers a wonderful view of the archipelago, little islands and the islands of Solta, Drvenik Velie i Mali, with the possibility of a one-day trip. Innumerable small hidden bays and beaches, sun and clear blue-green sea offer a unique opportunity to enjoy in swimming and sunbathing.
Like the rest of the region, Okrug Gornji has a mild Mediterranean climate and rich subtropical and Mediterranean vegetation. Near Okrug Gornji , in the channel between Ciovo and Drvenik Veli, are numerous picturesque islands, the largest St. Fumia. With 2670 hours of sunshine annually, Okrug Gornji is an attractive tourist destination in Croatia.
